The farm and surrounding Langeberg valley are home to an extraordinary diversity of wildlife and plant species. From the gentle lowing of our dairy cattle to the chorus of frogs at dusk — every moment offers a chance to connect with nature.
Birdwatchers will delight in the prolific birdlife, which includes sunbirds, kingfishers, fish eagles, and the iconic African Hoopoe. The river and wetlands attract waterfowl and wading birds, while the fynbos-covered slopes are alive with insect and bird activity throughout the year.
The farm is also home to small antelope (duiker and steenbok), mongoose, Cape clawless otters along the river, and a variety of reptiles and amphibians. The gardens burst with colour from roses, lavender, wild sage, and indigenous shrubs that attract pollinators and butterflies.
